The cancellation of the 2020 FIA FORMULA 1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PIRELLI JAPANESE GRAND PRIX
Mobilityland Corporation announces the cancellation of the 2020 FIA FORMULA 1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PIRELLI JAPANESE GRAND PRIX, which was originally scheduled to be held at Suzuka Circuit from October 9th (Fri.) to 11th (Sun.) 2020.
In light of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Japan and overseas and the preventative measures being enacted in each region, we have carefully studied the situation and made the decision to cancel the race. This decision to cancel the event is based on the fact that, in Japan, there is no prospect of deregulation of immigration restrictions on visitors from abroad at this stage, and also because of the character of this event, that involves international transit by its many participants and fans.
We extend our apologies and regrets to all the fans who were looking forward to attending the Japanese Grand Prix and to all of the other stakeholders involved in this race event, and we ask for your kind understanding regarding this unavoidable cancellation.
